Embark on a breathtaking guided tour of the stunning Caucasus Mountains, where you can relax and enjoy the scenery without the stress of navigating challenging roads. This unforgettable journey takes you to various picturesque locations, including the tranquil Jinvali Reservoir and the historic Ananuri Fortified Castle Ensemble.

Meeting Point: Rose Revolution Square

Your adventure begins at 8:30 AM in front of the Radisson Blu Iveria, conveniently located near Rose Revolution Square and just 50 meters from Rustaveli metro station. Look for your tour leader, who will be holding a red flag. If your group has more than four people, we are happy to arrange a hotel pickup to ensure your comfort as you travel to the magnificent Caucasus Mountains.

The Jinvali Water Reservoir

Nestled along the Georgian Military Highway, the Jinvali Reservoir is a breathtaking spot perfect for photography. The striking blue waters, surrounded by three mountain ranges, create a stunning landscape that will leave you in awe.

Ananuri Fortified Castle Ensemble

Dating back to the 16th to 18th centuries, Ananuri Fortress is perched on a hill overlooking the Aragvi River. This historical site served as the residence for the Eristavis (Dukes) of Aragvi, a powerful feudal dynasty from the 13th century. Throughout its history, the fortress has witnessed many battles, and today it offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape and Jinvali Reservoir—ideal for landscape photography. In 2007, it was added to the tentative UNESCO World Heritage Site list.

Lunch at Hotel-Restaurant Kakhaberi

Before enjoying a delightful lunch, consider an exhilarating rafting experience amid stunning natural surroundings. This is your chance to savour delicious homemade traditional dishes, particularly the famous Khinkali dumplings, which are a must-try.

Russia–Georgia Friendship Monument

If the weather permits, you might want to try paragliding in Gudauri (not included in the tour and available for an additional cost of approximately $100).

During your journey, you can optionally visit the Friendship Monument, built in 1983 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the Treaty of Georgievsk and the enduring friendship between Soviet Georgia and Soviet Russia. Situated on the Georgian Military Highway, the monument provides breathtaking views of the Devil's Valley in the Caucasus Mountains.

The Gudauri ski resort, located at an altitude of 2,200 meters, is an excellent spot for sightseeing, offering fresh air and a variety of outdoor activities like horse riding, mountain biking, hiking, and paragliding.

Stepantsminda, Georgia

Stepantsminda, also known as Kazbegi, is a popular destination for its stunning scenery in the Greater Caucasus Mountains. It is a haven for trekkers and mountain climbers, with Mount Kazbegi as a highlight. Visitors can explore beautiful alpine meadows and lush forests in the Kazbegi Nature Reserve.

Gergeti Trinity Church

The Holy Trinity Church, commonly referred to as Gergeti Trinity Church, is situated near the village of Gergeti, on the right bank of the Chkheri River, at the foot of Mount Kazbegi. Standing at 2,170 meters, this 14th-century church is the only cross-cupola church in the Khevi province. Throughout history, it has safeguarded valuable relics, including Saint Nino's Cross from Mtskheta.

Despite restrictions during the Soviet era, Gergeti Trinity Church has remained a popular tourist destination and is an active site for the Georgian Orthodox Church. Visitors can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the valley and the majestic Mount Kazbegi, which rises to 5,047 meters.

Rooms Hotel Kazbegi

After your amazing experiences, we recommend staying overnight in Kazbegi. You can be dropped off at Rooms Hotel Kazbegi around 7:00 PM or choose to return to Tbilisi on the same day.
